CR ARFF Fire Pumps

The rugged and reliable Waterous CR single-stage ARFF centrifugal fire pump provides the discerning pro a large capacity, pedestal-mounted (CR model) or a chain-driven with (CRQA), end-suction unit with water delivery rated at 2050 GPM @ 250 PSI (7800 L/min. @ 17 bar). Like all of our pumps, the CR and CRQA single-stage centrifugal fire pumps are tested at full power prior to shipment to ensure they meet each one of our rigorous standards.

The Waterous CR, CRQA and CRQB ARFF fire pumps easily interface with numerous accessories and come with a variety of options to fit the needs of your fire operations. An electric, oil-free rotary vane primer is available and can be mounted directly on a Waterous split-shaft pump transmission or separately mounted combined with a Waterous priming valve. Pressure control, corrosion protection and overheat protection systems are also available.

Specifications

Gray iron (bronze optional), vertically-split volute body with optional gray iron transmission.
Transmissions equipped with a Morse HV® high strength involute form chain.
17-4 stainless steel impeller shaft, heat-treated, machined and ground to precision.
Oil-splash lubricated, deep-groove ball bearings located outside the pump casing to accurately align and support the impeller shaft assembly.
Fully-enclosed, bronze, double-hubbed precision-balanced impeller.
Bronze replaceable wear rings to increase pump life and minimize maintenance costs.
Standard 8" Victaulic® intake.
5" Victaulic® discharge.
Discharge positions available in 25 degrees below horizontal, horizontal or vertical.
Mechanical seal is standard.
Intake side-mounting bracket (optional).
Direct drive with 1.750-10 spline for Spicer 4-4-3811 series end yoke.
5-year warranty.

Options and Accessories

Priming System: An electric, oil-free rotary vane primer mounted directly on a Waterous split-shaft pump transmission or separately mounted combined with a Waterous priming valve forms the priming system. A lubrication option allows the use of Prime-Safe lubricant (priming tank is required when the lubrication option is selected).
Pressure Control System: The Waterous Intake Relief Valve system is designed to act as a safety valve by "dumping" excess pressure from the inlet side of the pump. The Discharge Relief Valve provides sensitive pump control to protect firefighters from sudden pressure surges resulting from changes in discharge flows from the pump.
Manifold Drain Valve Drains all points of the pump simultaneously with the operation of a single control.
Corrosion Protection: Replaceable zinc element that is installed directly on the pump intake piping and into the pump waterway. These anodes sacrifice the zinc element to galvanic corrosion.
Discharge Valves: Waterous ball-type discharge valves available in 2.5" and 3.5".
Overheat Protection Manager: The OPM consists of an illuminated warning light on the operator's panel whenever the pump approaches an overheat condition. Optional audible alarm is available.
