The Waterous Overheat Protection Manager (OPM) acts as a safety device by releasing water from the discharge side of the pump to the ground or back to a water tank once the internal pump water temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
Thermal Relief Valve:
Opens and releases water from the pump when the water temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
Thermal Switch:
Activates a flashing red light on the control panel when the water temperature reaches 180°F (82°C). This is an additional safety function to alert the operator that the water temperature is continuing to rise.
Optional Audible Alarm:
Will sound in conjunction with the flashing red light and provide an additional warning that the water temperature is rising.
Control Panel:
Contains the red flashing light as well as a test circuit for the light.
System Availability
CM and CS Series Models:
All components except the Control Panel and Optional Audible Alarm are mounted on the pump at the factory.
All Other Models:
All components are furnished loose for mounting flexibility. A Waterous 2-1/2 in. 4-Bolt flange is provided for mounting theThermal Relief and switch on a discharge opening on the pump.
Retro-Fit Kit
Provides all components for adding an OPM to an existing pump.
